I really enjoy knitting custom orders. Some of my favorite completed designs were based on a request from a customer. If you can dream it up, I can probably put it on a soaker! Feel free to look around my gallery for inspiration, or send me a picture of something you like.
Take a look at the yarn I have in stock and see if anything strikes your fancy. I also try to maintain a stock of undyed yarn, and can dye most colors or color combinations for you. Take note of the amount of yarn I have available to make sure I have enough for what you’re wanting

Should your custom measurements differ from those on the sizing page, I will work out the specific base price and yarn requirements individually.
I can also work up basic hats, mittens, and things of that nature to match, if you are interested and we have enough yarn.
Included in the base price:
Drawstring: Choose twisted cord or double chain cord. If no drawstring is specified I will do a twisted cord.
Longies and Shorties Cuffs: Choose from rolled edge, ribbing, basketweave, seed stitch, crab stitch, or scalloped edge. If no cuff is specified I will do 1” seed stitch cuffs.
Soaker Cuffs: Choose from plain, ribbed, rolled cuff or crocheted cuffs. If no cuff is specified I will leave the cuff plain.

A $5 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot in line for a custom order. When the work is ready to ship payment the balance of your payment is due. If your custom order is a particularly unusual size or style (one that I would not be able to sell in my store), I reserve the right to require payment in full before beginning the work. I will let you know if your requested item falls in this category before you commit to it.
Items will be worked in the order that I receive the deposit, measurements, and specifications.

Yarn info
In general, there is a trade off in wool between softness and durability. The softest yarns tend to pill or felt easily. The most durable yarns are not as soft. The following yarns are just some of the yarns I frequently keep in stock, listed in approximate order from softest to most durable.
Click here to view Yarn in Stock.
Malabrigo – Premium, ultra soft, kettled dyed merino. Tends to pill, especially when worn by active crawlers.
100purewool – Ultra soft, hand dyed, merino yarn, ideal for very small or sensitive babies. This yarn will tend to pill, especially when worn by active crawlers.
Patons Merino – Fairly soft, slightly more durable than 1 ply purewool, but still pills or can felt when worn by active toddlers.
Cascade 220 - 100% Peruvian highland wool. Good basic wool available in many colors.
Ecological Wool – Natural, undyed, not chemically treated, 100% Peruvian wool. Moderate softness and durability.
100purewool 3-ply – Same great softness and colors as 1 ply purewool, but considerably more durable because of the plying.
Lamb’s Pride – Reasonably soft, fairly durable, wool, mohair blend. I don’t recommend this yarn for tiny babies who tend to grab at their clothes because it is slightly hairy. Otherwise it makes a good choice for older babies and toddlers.
Peace Fleece – Super durable blend of merino wool and mohair. This is an ideal choice for hard wearing, rough and tumble toddlers. Not as soft as the other choices, but still soft enough for next to skin wear, and softens considerably with wear and washing. Makes practically bulletproof soakers.
