I started dyeing yarn for myself and a few custom orders, and now it's taken over! We dye hundreds of skeins each year, and show at several fiber fairs.
Sheepy Time Yarns are each hand dyed with professional quality, low impact dyes for colorfastness and clear colors. Colorways are achieved through a number of methods, including dip dyeing, and hand painting.
Right now I'm really enjoying playing around with a multi-step technique of creating deep, rich, tone on tone colors. This technique produces non-repeating color variations, which means you get the same effect in the knit that you get in the ball, even, rich, color variations, without color pooling.
We have several base yarns that we use regularly (and will also occasionally produce special runs as we find new base yarns at good prices for you.) We love to do custom orders, and offer discounts for larger quantities, and free shipping for orders over $50.

Sheepy Feet This is a wonderful, soft sock yarn, made of 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon for durability. |

All Your Base A lovely, all purpose fingering weight 3 ply superwash merino yarn. Wonderful for anything from shawls and sweaters to mittens and socks. |

Panda Feet Our wonderful superwash merino blended with a little bamboo rayon, which gives it a lovely softness, and sheen. We love this one for baby garments, in addition to socks and lace. |
